The Story Behind My Travel Style: From Real Life to Real Journeys

There’s something about seeing the world through your own eyes—no filters, no scripts, no tour guide rushing you along. That’s how I travel, and it’s how I plan trips for others too. I believe in travel with curiosity and purpose—what I like to call adventure with soul.
I didn’t start out with fancy hotels or big budgets—I started with curiosity, spontaneity, and a sense of adventure that kept pulling me further. My personal travel journey began in a small Canadian town, and grew into a life of immersive travel experiences that shaped everything I do today as a travel advisor.
One of my earliest real travel stories? Driving with my grandparents from Windsor all the way to Halifax. I asked for a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger—and got a thermos of black coffee and a sandwich with one slice of meat instead. It was my first glimpse at slow travel and cultural connection.
Fast forward a few years and I found myself falling hard for Costa Rica. What started as a trip turned into something more—living in Playas del Coco, Liberia, and Upala, soaking in the language, the food, and that pura vida rhythm. I didn’t just visit. I became part of it. That Costa Rica travel experience helped me understand how to travel like a local.
Later, Mexico pulled me in with the buzz of Guadalajara street food and late-night adventures. And then came Milan—my solo escape where I stayed just outside the city in Rho and explored by subway, slice by slice of pizza, and street by street. My Milan solo travel became a reflection of meaningful solo adventures.
What ties it all together? I always wander with intention—curious, observant, independent. I rarely booked packages. I asked locals for tips. I made mistakes. I learned. And that’s the same energy I bring when helping others travel smarter, deeper, and more meaningfully. These are travel styles that go deeper, shaped by real-world experience.

🌍 What Makes My Travel Style Different?
- I stay where locals live. I believe local travel immersion means being surrounded by daily life, not just hotel lobbies.
- I chase connection. Whether it’s a food stall in Tequila, a conversation in a park, or a quiet church in Milan—I look for the soul of a place and aim for authentic travel experiences Canada.
- I mix freedom with guidance. Travel can be spontaneous and safe, unstructured and still deeply planned. That balance is my sweet spot, and it’s what makes a great travel planner.
- I adapt. Whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, family, or someone curious about doing things differently, I match your rhythm with off the beaten path travel tips and flexibility.
